A team from SDALab including Dr. Muhammad Khan and Dr. Nima Ghiasi joined by Dr. Abdollah Malekjafarian performed a series of field vibration tests on Malahide Viaduct bridge in north of Dublin on the 28th and 29th of July 2022. The bridge is located at the railway line connecting Dublin and Belfast with several trains passing everyday.
The tests were carried out using several wireless triaxial accelerometer sensors installed at the spans. The vibration responses of the bridge were measured using ambient excitation and in forced vibration scenario when the bridge was excited by passing trains.
