Dr. Amiya Pandit presented his recent work on “Seismic response control of building with sloped bottom Tuned Liquid Damper” at UCD Civil Engineering Research Seminars on 26th of October 2022. He discussed the importance of using vibration dampers for built environments. He also talked about the ability of Tuned Liquid Dampers for dissipating seismic vibrations for multiple storey buildings.
Dr. Amiya is an IRC Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the SDA-Lab UCD. He is currently working on the use of vibration dampers for offshore wind turbine structures.
