Mr. Rich May spent a research visit to SDA-Lab in September 2022 as part of a research collaboration between University College Dublin and The University of Edinburgh. Rich is currently a PhD student in the School of Engineering at The University of Edinburgh. His PhD is focused on the use of vehicle measurements for bridge condition monitoring. During his visit to SDA-Lab, he implemented several experimental measurements using our laboratory scaled vehicle bridge interaction model. His current work is focused on quantifying the effect of added mass on indirect structural health monitoring of bridges
